She has proven success in creating cultures of collaboration, and implementing change to achieve workforce excellence. As a subject matter expert, Sonya possesses expertise in business analytics, organizational effectiveness, change management, and compliance to name a few. She has a track record of corporate coaching in the areas of transformational leadership, intercultural communication, team building, and proven success in organizational restructuring. Sonya is currently the Director of Human Resources at local State-funded nonprofit and is also Chief People Officer at Hire Strategic HR, a global consulting firm and parent company for www.AskSonyaLowe.com, where she handles only VIP clients in Motion Picture and Television, Sports and Science. She is a notable visiting Professor of Business Administration at several private universities nationwide where she leads master’s level cohorts in the areas of inclusive leadership, global business strategy, cultural sensitivity in the workplace and human capital theory. Sonya is an active member of many prominent HR organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) both on the national and local level and The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR). Sonya is also an active member of HR Alliance, National Association of Women MBAs and Professionals in Human Resources Association where she once served as vice-chair of the South Bay Chapter for two consecutive terms. She holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Management as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certifications. |
